The
last day of school
has been changed. School will close on
June 11th.
Both June 10th and 11th will be half days- schools will
close at 12:45.

Teacher Appreciation Week
starts on

May 5th. Show your teacher that
you care!
The
PTA Flower Sale will be from
May
6th
to 9th. Come and buy some
flowers for your favorite mother or some of the other
special people in your life.

It's
PlayDay! The primary (K,
1st and 2nd) PlayDay will be
Thursday, May 15th. The
intermediate PlayDay will be on
Friday, May 16th.
The
spring concert featuring the 3rd
grade, the band and the orchestra will be on
Wednesday, May 28th at 7pm. Join
us for an evening of music!
The French
Department will be hosting a
poetry recitation and fundraiser event
at the Pikesville Barnes and Noble on
May 29th from 6:30 to 8:00. FLES
students and French Immersion students will recite French
Poetry. Students and parents will have the opportunity to
purchase summer reading materials and summer bridge books.
Wellwood's French Department will receive a portion of the
evening sales. Come and join us!
Get ready to say goodbye and good luck to the
5th grade!
5th grade graduation will be on
Friday, June 6th.
· MSA Testing
is over! Thanks to all the parents and families for your
support. The results will be mailed home during the summer.

· What's
Going On Around the School...
On Saturday, April 26, 2008 four Wellwood students
participated in the All-county Choral and Recorder Festival
at Loch Raven High School. Denelle J., Jahan F., Antonio V.,
and Aicha C. represented Wellwood. The following students
were the alternates: Graysen L., Joseph W., and Ashley R..
They have been practicing for this event since February.
1st grade will
be going on a field trip to Goucher College to see the play
Junie B. Jones on May 14th.
2nd graders are studying fables in reading and will be going
on a field trip to Goucher College on May 29th to see a
production of Aesop’s Fables.
5th grade is going on their Ecotrekkers field trip May 23rd.
The 3rd grade
is working hard on our safe racer unit. There are cars
crashing and eggs smashing and much fun being had in all the
3rd grade rooms. Oh yeah, and they're learning things
too.
· The
online math book is up and running for the 2007-2008 school year.
A letter explaining the site should have been sent home.

· Did you know
that you can still order delicious items from our Claire's Gourmet
fundraiser? Orders can be shipped directly to your door or to
loved ones far away. If you order from
Claire's Gourmet
website and enter Wellwood's code (1698), your order
will be credited to our fundraiser. Be sure to tell those
out-of-town relatives about the site too!
